This has interesting parallels, but I can see how these lessons relate to writing. Of course, staying in the moment is also a good lesson just for life 😊

I really enjoyed this post Cali. So happy that you cheated NMHRK before the Queen’s coffin. I wonder how many more SGI members would have done the same as well. I surely would have. I think you nailed it in the impulse to thank her for service. I share the same sentiment.

Hope the back pain has subsided. A very happy 10th anniversary to you and your husband. Lots of love.

What a feat! I, too, practice Buddhism and noticed the rainbow over the castle shortly after the Queen's death, which is an auspicious sign. I tend to want to focus on the mystical, but maybe it really was auspicious.

I hope you are enjoying your vacation, and happy 10th anniversary!

This largely echoes your piece. I too felt the need to get my thoughts down before the moment passed.

Well done. You queued for even longer than us and still lived to tell the tale. There was something very special about the whole experience wasn't there.

Thank you Cali! I really needed to hear that part about staying in the moment. I immediately recognized how I'm comparing this second injury to the initial one and continually wondering when I'll be able to _____ instead of staying right where I am - and it's making it harder. I hope you have a lovely anniversary and time away!

Thanks Karen. Being patient and accepting where you are at right now is so annoying isn't it! I'm a bit like that with my fatigue. I had it last Autumn after covid and it was a straight-line progression to being better, even though it took over 3 months. Any expectations that the last few months would behave the same way soon evaporated as this has been a much bumpier ride. But the trend is upwards though :)

Yes, and there’s something about that second time that is particularly challenging.
