I feel like the time in which we find ourselves is one of relentless information, coming at us at warp speed and it erodes our bandwidth to cope and process.
Love these!! Eye exercises are my personal favorite and so important.
Unlike other cranial nerves and senses, our eyes are actually part of our brains and have a huge, direct impact on our nervous systems. I'm so passionate about this. Eye movement, what you see and scan for in your environment, and how much you look up close vs in the distance can directly impact your nervous system....just using your up-close vision for too long can increase sympathetic/fight or flight activation, even without being stressed for other reasons!
Thanks Cali! The first two I'm familiar with. The hand on my heart is so comforting. I only found the fingertips one very recently. It could've saved me years of nails-in-my-palms moments. I'll try the eye exercises tonight.
Yes! I have tried all three of these. The eye thing works so well - I yawned just watching you do it, lol. I forget to do it. I often put one hand on my heart and one on my belly, I think that's the most natural thing for me. Touching each finger wasn't so impactful for me, but if I actually add a rhythmic tapping to each finger before switching, it does seem to help. Not as much as full EFT, but in a pinch. Thanks for sharing these with everyone Cali!

Yes, it does seem a bit relentless at the moment. I’m trying to spend less time looking at my phone which helps.

When we sit at a computer all day long then that would be too much up-close vision. Can definitely see how this will increase fight/flight.
Wish I had known these exercises back in the day when I was so stressed at work.

The finger tips one is really good. I hadn't used it for a while then found myself remembering it employing it.
How did you get on with the eye exercise?
Hi Cali - The eye exercise worked, but I need to try it more. I still prefer BodyScan meditation before I sleep. The finger-tip one is easier to use.
thanks

Yes, I imagine one hand on heart and the other on belly is settling. It must remind you to breathe more fully.
