Some of this hits so true for me as I am working my way through old blog posts and turning them into a book of essays. I'm on the beta draft and reading the comments of PEOPLE I KNOW AND TRUST can still hit hard as I deal with the reality of what work still needs to be done on what is really a third draft of a book! I'm still excited about the project, however, and hopeful that it will be a mildly successful self-publishing adventure.

Thank you, Cali, for the encouraging words. This also has been my year of experimenting with Substack and my weekly micro lit/art newsletter has gifted me with both joy and fear, so much, apparently, that Iā€™m planning the launch of another on creative cooking. Keep the advice coming!

This was a timely article in that I am in the middle of writing experiments. I have four different paths to pursue. Thankfully, the first one was a huge success - in my eyes. The other three are works in progress. No matter how they turn out, I will have given myself permission to try something new and gained some information.
