That's a beautiful recollection too Terry. Yes, I keep getting little lumps in my throat as I watch the coverage, particularly when King Charles (have to correct myself when I type Prince Charles) was greeting the crowds at Buckingham Palace. He didn't have to do that and he worked his way along a huge line of people. Being British we swallow those tears back and calmly carry on! Thanks for linking to my article. Take care
Thanks for your kind words, Cali. I haven't seen that footage yet. It's extraordinary, isn't it? I said to my wife this morning that I somehow never expected to see the headline "King Charles III travels to Buckingham Palace" -- even though we all knew it had to happen one day. Yes, I thought the Queen was the embodiment of "keep calm and carry on". You take care too, Cali.

I enjoyed reading beautiful recollection, and referred to it in my own recollections: https://terryfreedman.substack.com/p/my-queen-and-i?sd=pf

Lovely tribute. It's so nice to hear from one of the Queen's "subjects."
A beautiful tribute, thank you x
