This is how I feel about my newsletter. I have no idea what I’m doing or where I’m going, but I started and I’ve kept going and along the way I am learning.
I love this approach. I’m SO glad I started a Substack 26 weeks ago and committed to posting every week. At the time, I had no idea that I had 26 weeks of writing in me. I still question that I have many more weeks left of material, but right now I’m two weeks ahead. It’s all been an experiment-- and a worthy one at that. Thanks for that quote and this post. Keep going! H
These are such awesome tips. I met with a group of my writing friends last night and so many of us need to do exactly what you said "Writing is actually about getting on and doing it." I know for myself I tend to talk more about what I want to do instead of doing it. This read is perfect timing. Thank you! I will indeed be sharing this with my writing group.
My blog is my constant workshop and had been for about 10 years, but I hope that someday my Substack makes money 😂
