I really like this approach because it's goal oriented but flexible at the same time. Thanks for suggesting it!

Thank you for this suggestion in the rule of three. I will definitely try it out Cali.

And on Words making a difference - that’s one thing I definitely learn from Daisaku Ikeda - who believes in the Bastion of the Pen.

Ikeda always says that words can be nourishment. You don't have to know how to solve someone else's problem, just how to support them with kind words to find their own way.

Mother Nature shows us this natural slow-growth strategy every day in every way. Just like how we walk, we always put one foot in front of the other, one at a time, and your advice here is wonderful. Little by little, we always get where we need to go when we make daily efforts to create the life we want to live. Great post!

Hi. I love how you equate this approach with the slow growth of Mother Nature. We just keep plodding on. Sometimes you can see tangible results and other times the results aren't as obvious but stuff is happening - a bit like how spring flowers are growing underground, unseen, during the autumn and winter and then we see them become visible.

Yes, this is good. Whew, some weeks one step is all I have in me (and sometimes that one step takes so much more time than I thought). Be easy on yourself - war and all that it stirs up for us and brings in to us energetically is a lot. I was so stressed last week my back and neck went haywire and now I've been laying on the couch a lot of the week (in between trying to get my paying job done). Sometimes self care is all we've got.

Thanks for your kind words Karen. I've just been doing a pan-European Buddhist chanting session about Ukraine and I do find it tiring. It's heavy stuff but I am committed to injecting prayer and love into the situation. Something has gotta give! I think you are really good at doing your steps, one at a time. Your work is beautiful

Great article. I want to:

Map out my book headings

Make a plan for the next 12 months

Write 3 things to do in March to take steps towards.

Hey. How's it going with those goals? If there's anything you haven't got done then break it down into smaller chunks and put 3 of them on next week's list.

Thanks for jumping straight in. Good for you. Look out for the Monday post each week where you can continue to share your steps. And feel free to come back here and comment and let me know how you get on. Well done.
