I can soooo relate. I didn’t have the long haul Covid, but my career imploded because of the virus, and I’ve been completely recreating myself. And learning to let go and be in stillness. Moving to the mountains of New Mexico has really helped. Committing to a new career in fiction has also helped.

And spending my downtime doing small acts of self love has been the biggest help - whether it be cooking a good meal, going for a walk, or watching clouds go by (one of my new favorite pastimes....).

Congrats on finding your path to yourself. That’s what I think life is about. All the material stuff is not important - tho I sometimes have panic attacks over the future also - but I’m taking it as a teaching. And a day at a time. Love that quote. Can I ask who yr teacher is??

Sorry to hear that covid gave you a bumpy journey too. But well done for making the changes and taking good care of yourself. I had to spend time at my London property yesterday. There's no furniture there but one of the rooms has floor to ceiling windows and it was so much fun to sit on the floor and watch the world go by!

I practice Nichiren Buddhism and the leader of our lay organisation (called Soka Gakkai International) is a Japanese man called Daisaku Ikeda. You can read about him here: https://www.daisakuikeda.org/. If you're curious about the Buddhist teachings you can find more info here: https://sgi-uk.org/
