I began writing publicly just a few months ago at the age of 60. I'm beyond thrilled with it and the response my newsletter has received. I'm definitely in a celebratory frame of mind. Well done to us all!
This is such great advice. When we get down on ourselves, it can last awhile, but then a lot of us tend to be self-deprecating about our accomplishments instead of celebrating them.
My summer project, in addition to keeping up with regular publishing here on Substack, is to take several of my old blog posts, edit them, and put them together in a book of essays. If I can get that done for self-publishing before school starts again, I will feel very accomplished ☺️

I needed to be reminded. Thank you. I can celebrate writing 69 articles for my newsletter and having 87 subscribers. It's a start.
